The new Salt Lake Lake Art Center show, "Present Tense: A Post-337 Project," opened on June 20 to record-breaking crowds and rave reviews. You don't want to miss it! From now until September 27 at the Salt Lake Art Center.
"I'm blown away. This is the most amazing thing I have seen in this city." --Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson
"This year's coolest public art phenomenon."--Salt Lake Tribune
"It's the Woodstock of Salt Lake City. Your grandchildren will ask you, 'Were you at 337?'"--15 Bytes
The 337 Project has lots of exciting events planned for the future. In September 2008, we will resume painting the town, starting with a juried competition to paint the outside of
Neighborhood House. Then, in November, we will launch the Art Truck, a 25' moving van that could appear anywhere, including your front door. The debut of the Art Truck will feature the work of nationally-recognized installation artist Dan Steinhilber, in partnership with the
BYU Museum of Art.
The stunning documentary film "Afterimage: The Art of 337," by Alex Haworth and Davey Davis, is now available for purchase at the Salt Lake Art Center, Nobrow, Slowtrain, Sam Weller's, and other local merchants. 337 Project artists should contact Davey Davis to purchase the film at a discounted rate.
